Shipping Information


If it becomes necessary to send a product for repair


When shipping, we recommend you do the following:


  1. Please do not ship accessories like knobs or brackets, portable cases, batteries, chargers with your unit, return the head of you system only, if your experiencing bottom reading problems, the transducer may prove useful and should be sent in along with the head of your unit for testing.
  2. Do not ship any cartography/chart/mapping cards with your unit.
  3. Save any stored data onto an SD card prior to shipping your unit. We will not be able to protect or transfer the data for you.
  4. Personal checks are not accepted for repair. You may send a cashier's check or money order. Please place your payment in an envelope and tape it to the unit, see rates and information.
  5. For proper testing, include a brief note with the product describing the problem. Be sure to include your name, return shipping address and a daytime telephone number. An e-mail address is optional but useful.
  6. Pack the unit in a suitable size box with packing material to prevent any damage during shipping.
  7. For your security, you may want to insure the package through your shipping courier. Fishntech does not assume responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit.

  9. After we receive your unit, you can check the status of the repair by sending us an email at humminbird@fishntech.com.

Rates & Information


Humminbird has always taken pride in their commitment to customer service and the ability to repair their equipment for an extended period of time. Fishntech offers a flat rate repair for current production units and are committed to service out of production units for as long as possible. However, due to the rapid advancements in technology of consumer electronics, components can quickly become obsolete and unavailable. This affects our ability to repair our units. For current repair rates please contact us by calling Customer Service at 1-450-409-3474 or by email at humminbird@fishntech.com.

We offer an equipment update service to all of our customers for $29.99, plus return shipping if applicable.

If a unit is sent in for repair when a repair is not necessary (for example if the unit simply needs to be reset, updated or any other issue that is correctable from the FAQ at www.humminbird.com, and if the unit is out-of-warranty, you will be charged $39.99 for the bench test fee and be charged for return shipping if applicable.

Our repair fee is a flat rate of $85.00, plus parts, return shipping and applicable taxes.

The above rates do not apply to in warranty units that require physical repair.
